I really appreciate your response, and I've made slight updates to my story based on your input.

I see that many have got the hunch that I advocate the use of strings for primary keys, when in fact, I haven't mentioned primary keys at all.

I've tried to make my point clearer that I'm talking about generating entity IDs - and not what to use as primary key.
