Example 5 is all about using if-else when it’s absolutely not appropriate. Quite often, you’d like to just add another class in order to extend you application. That’s exactly what type discovery allows you to do.

Yeah, it’s a lot more classes, and way more overhead than just using if-else, but there’s often a tradeoff that you’d have to consider.
